After a breakup, a kind man suddenly found himself living with ten cats.

He didn’t mean to have that many, it just happened, quietly and gradually. The cats were there, and he simply did what felt right: he took care of them, with whatever he had, however he could.

He really tried. It may not have been perfect, but his heart was in every bowl of food, every litter change, every safe night under a roof. No one teaches you how to care for ten cats on your own.

The trouble was, none of the cats were desexed. The number started to grow, and soon it became too much. That’s when he reached out and asked for help.

That’s when PAWS Bangkok stepped in. They helped get all the cats spayed and neutered, found new homes for some of them, and just as importantly. They helped him. Helped him stand tall again, feel supported, and know he wasn’t alone.

Because sometimes, helping animals also means helping the people who love them.

Frog and Toad are just two of the many cats who got a fresh start, thanks to a man who never gave up on them, and a community that didn’t give up on him.

This is what compassion can do: not just change the life of one cat, but heal the quiet ache of someone doing their best, all on their own until someone finally says, “You’re not alone anymore.”
