HOUSE RULES
We put the health and safety of our cats and people first, so that visitors can enjoy the place with absolute peace of mind. To keep both yourselves and our feline companions safe and happy, we do have some rules to take note of.
1. All patrons must sanitise their hands before entering the cafe.
2. When interacting with our cats, please do not pick them up or carry them. Do not push or pull them back or pull their tails.
3. Do not disturb the sleeping cats.
4. All children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult. NO unattended children.
5. Do remember to keep your volume down; Cats dislike loud noises.
6. Do not share your food to the cats and do not leave your food unattended.
7. The cat equipment is for cats only, please prevent adventurous children - or adults - climbing on them.
Strict hygiene measures
to prevent genetic and infectious diseases
We only cooperate with PAWS BANGKOK in welcoming our cats to our cafe, this is to prevent contamination diseases come from different shelters. PAWS BANGKOK has a high standard of knowledge and care system towards their rescue cats. Before welcoming the cats to our cafe, they are tested for feline panleukopenia (feline parvovirus infection/FPLV). Parvovirus is highly contagious and has a high fatality rate, so prior testing is essential. At the same time, health examinations are conducted by veterinarians at PAWS BANGKOK to ensure early detection and treatment of diseases. Only cats that have tested negative for parvovirus and have been confirmed to be in good health will be welcomed safely. Then all cats are desexed and vaccinated, ready for adoptions at ASOK PETHOUSE.
Cleanliness | Temperature Control | Ventilation
Air conditioners and ventilation systems are installed in the store to always set the optimum temperature under the guidance of veterinarians. Daily thorough cleaning of the whole store, walls and floors, washing cat blankets, washing dishes, and disinfecting care tools. Our cleaning solutions are gentle on people and animals.
Routine Cat Health Care
Store staff check and care for cats every day.
Check whether there are any abnormalities in excrement, whether there are eye burns or earwax, changes in appetite and facial expressions, etc. We have our own consultation veterinarian.
ASOK PETHOSUE consultation veterinarian performs monthly health check to our cats, suggest and advise improvement as needed.
We also frequently carry out care such as brushing, shampooing, nail clipping, ear cleaning, and toothbrushing to maintain the health of the cats.
